Day 1 Yangon Arrival
Arrive in Yangon where you will be welcomed by your local tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Late afternoon visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda of Rudyard Kipling fame and one of Myanmar’s most sacred places. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and topaz – a stunning sight as the sun sets and a most fitting place to begin our trip in this “Golden Land”.

Day 2 Yangon - Mandalay by flight
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for your morning flight to Mandalay, the city of bicycles. Start biking from the airport after assembling. The supported pick-up will be waiting you and following you on the way to hotel. Recommend to bike until you get near the city. And then you will be transferred to the Hotel. Bike to some highlights in Mandalay such as Mahamuni Temple, craft shops and sunset at Mandalay Hill. Overnight at Mandalay City Hotel.

Day 3 Mandalay-Mingun-Sagaing-Amarapura-Mandalay by bike
After breakfast, bike to the jetty. Cross the Ayeyarwaddy River by a private boat (45 minutes). Visit Mingun,an exclusive village and asylum for KING BADON whose dedications are of today-tourist-site. Things to see are unfinished and semi-ruined Pathodawgyi Pagoda, Mingun bell and Myatheindan Paya which is a resemblance of the universe. Bike to Sagaing along the Ayeyarwaddy River, one of the ancient capitals in Kobaung Dynasty. Your supported vehicle will be waiting for you. Drive up the Sagaing Hill, nestling a number of monasteries for retreat, viewing the Mighty River from the top. Return by your support vehicle or continue cycling along the avenue via the river bank is on your wish. Arrive back Mandalay and overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Mandalay – Pyinoolwin – Mandalay
Early morning, depart by rail to Pyinoolwin, a British Hill Station during the colonial era and maintains a large dose of charm. We visit such places as Candacraig Guest House, a gracious English country home which was the single men's residence for government staff stationed in Maymyo and the Maymyo Botanic Gardens, now called National Kandawgyi Garden, a 432 acre garden designed by the British and reclaimed from marshland by Turkish prisoners in 1914. From Pyin Oo Lwin you will be able to coast most of the way to Mandalay, down to the Ayeyarwady River Valley. Outside of Pyinoolwin, we will pass through some beautiful tree-lined road. Many of these are coffee plantations. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 5 Mandalay – Monywa by bike
After breakfast, transfer out of Mandalay by bus to Ohndaw. Today features a ride west into the desert landscape of central Myanmar where bullock carts still significantly out number cars. There are several interesting sites to explore on the way to the provincial capital of Monywa including a pagoda with over 500,000 Buddha images and a monumental reclining Buddha. Overnight at the hotel in Monywa.

Day 6 Monywa – Pokkaku – Bagan
Heading south out of Monywa we take a seldom-driven road through a rice growing region along the Chindwind River to Pakokku. Since the road is upgrading at the moment, transfer to the Chindwin River and start biking from there. Here we take a local ferry across the river and continue bike into Bagan for sunset on a pagoda. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 7 Bagan
What make the experience of cycling with 2000 millennium old religious edifice better? Relax and enjoy this special place. There will be a formal tours of some of the major temples in the Bagan area or you are welcome to explore the area on you own. This evening we will take a boat ride on the Ayeyarwady River. There is a golf course in Bagan. Both a caddy and an umbrella bearer come with your green fee!
Day 8 Bagan – Mt. Popa
After breakfast, it is just a short, easy ride across the desert plain from Bagan to Mt. Popa. The area is intoxicating. Tonight we stay at a lovely lodge overlooking Mt. Popa, the site of a popular Buddhist temple build on top of a free-standing volcanic plug and home of the Nats, impish gods who can allegedly have the power to make your life delightful or miserable. In the eving, you may wish to trek through the jungles path and hike up to the summit. Overnight at the hotel in Mt. Popa.

Day 9 Mt. Popa – Meilkhtila by bike
The central part of Myanmar is the desert like terrain and geological quirk, the monsoon rains deny this part of Myanmar. It turns the area into a dry zone and nevertheless display a wild beauty dotted with toddy palms tree. We drive to Mt. Popa then begin biking across the gently rolling hills and very arid land that make up this central part of Myanmar. Overnight at the hotel in Meikhtila.Biking distance: 120 km
Day 10 Meikhtilia – Kalaw
This significant day of climbing starts with a gorgeous ride out of the flat valley and into the foothills. Through the early afternoon we follow a winding road along a river, finally entering Shan mountain ranges and the serious climb is the final 18 miles to Kalaw, a cool, quiet town that was formerly a British Hill Station. Overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.Biking distance: 100 km
Day 11 Kalaw – Inle Lake by bike
After breakfast at hotel, starting at Kalaw, elevation 4,300 feet, we have two long downhill runs on the ride to Inle Lake, elevation 2,500’. En route we pass Hebo where we will be taking our flight to Yangon. We will arrive at the lake late in the morning and board boats for an afternoon exploration of the Inle Lake which includes includes sights of unique leg rowers, fishermen using their typical own style of fishing, floating farms and gardens, handloom weaving cottage with its showroom, Phaungdawoo Pagoda which houses the most revered 5 Buddha Images in the southern Shan State and jumping cat Monastery, simply due to its trained jumping cats. Overnight either at the hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 12 Inle Lake
We will continue our excursion by motorized boat to Indein pagoda complex, in the south-west of the lake. The boat leaves the lake and enters a narrow canal with a beautiful natural environment to continue to a small Pa O tribe village. From the village, follow an old covered path to a 13th century monastery and the very impressive ruins of hundreds of ancient pagodas, some hidden in the vegetation. The main stupa-area on the top of the hill offers breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains and down to the valley and the lake in the far distance. Optionally you can bike back to the western shore of Inle Lake. Overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.Day 13 Inle – Heho – Yangon by flight
We are heading back down country today to return to the airport at Heho for our flight to Yangon. Our route takes us back to Heho and down the escarpment to Nyaung-Shwe for a busy local market. Check in at airport and fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.Day 14 Yangon
Today is reserved for exploring Yangon, shopping, and packing our bicycles. Visit the landmark of Myanmar/Yangon in the morning. A walk through “downtown” Yangon, a diverse mix of faded colonial architecture from the British times, and high-rises built by more recent investors; Sule Pagoda, built in the early 3rd century is a landmark in the city centre. Do your last minute souvenir shopping at Bogyoke Market and visit Karaweik, a royal barge for fantastic photo shot along the “pilgrims” causeway across the Royal Lake with stunning views of Schwedagon Pagoda. In the evening, transfer to airport for your return international flight.
