Day 1 Yangon Arrival
Arrive in Yangon where you will be welcomed by your local tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Late afternoon visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda of Rudyard Kipling fame and one of Myanmar’s most sacred places. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and topaz – a stunning sight as the sun sets and a most fitting place to begin our trip in this “Golden Land”.

Day 2 Yangon - Mandalay by flight
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for your morning flight to Mandalay, the city of bicycles. Start biking from the airport after assembling. The supported pick-up will be waiting you and following you on the way to hotel. Recommend to bike until you get near the city. And then you will be transferred to the Hotel. Bike to some highlights in Mandalay such as Mahamuni Temple, craft shops and sunset at Mandalay Hill. Overnight at Mandalay City Hotel.

Day 3 Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing - Amarapura - Mandalay by boat + bike
After breakfast, bike to the jetty. Cross the Ayeyarwaddy River by a private boat (45 minutes). Visit Mingun,an exclusive village and asylum for KING BADON whose dedications are of today-tourist-site. Things to see are unfinished and semi-ruined Pathodawgyi Pagoda, Mingun bell and Myatheindan Paya which is a resemblance of the universe. Bike to Sagaing along the Ayeyarwaddy River, one of the ancient capitals in Kobaung Dynasty. Your supported vehicle will be waiting for you. Drive up the Sagaing Hill, nestling a number of monasteries for retreat, viewing the Mighty River from the top. Return by your support vehicle or continue cycling along the avenue via the river bank is on your wish. Arrive back Mandalay and overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Mandalay – Myitthar by bike
Biking out of the city is not fun and you will be transferred out of Mandalay for about 20 minutes to avoid the congested traffic. Bike southward along the superb high-way for about 40km and arrive Kyaukse, the rice bowl during the Bagan period. This thriving small town is assumed to be the birth place of Burmese, according the British scholar G.H Luce. Then, turn right to a by-way and arrive Myittha, a small charming town. Best place to be local as today night stop is arranged in a Monastery with very simple accommodation.

Day 5 Myitthar – Myingyan by bike
Say goodbye to the chief monk. Breakfast shall be at a local tea-house near the market. Have a leisure walk there and bike to the south further. The road is flat, narrow and roughly tarred. Pass through many villages along the way. Should you take delight in visiting a local house on the way, the guide and the driver with you shall be of assistance.

Day 6 Myingyan – Bagan by bike
Perhaps, one of the most beautiful day of biking, the road is typical to the central dry zone. You will pass many un-bridged sand creeks winding the toddy forest and an added biking experience on the dessert like terrain towards Bagan, our destination and perhaps the highlight of our biking adventure. Check in to your hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Bagan
What make the experience of cycling with 2000 millennium old religious edifice better? This venue is an archaeological treasure as well as historical wonder and ranked as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO. Some highlights are Ananda temple (the master-piece edifice amongst 2000), Thatbyinnyu temple (the highest one), Dhanyangyi temple (the most massive one). You will also see how the lacquer items are made in a local workshop. Enjoy the sunset from a temple over looking the majestic flat plain. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan
Day 8 Bagan - Mt. Popa
After breakfast, it is just a short, easy ride across the desert plain from Bagan to Mt. Popa. The area is intoxicating. Tonight we stay at a lovely lodge overlooking Mt. Popa, the site of a popular Buddhist temple build on top of a free-standing volcanic plug and home of the Nats, impish gods who can allegedly have the power to make your life delightful or miserable. In the eving, you may wish to trek through the jungles path and hike up to the summit. Overnight at the hotel in Mt. Popa.

Day 9 Mt. Popa – Meikhtila by bike
After breakfast, bike to Meikhtila via Kyaukpadaung. Land is flat and tarred lying amidst the toddy forest. Optional visit to Mt. Popa, the abode of spirit worship, on the way. Half of the way will be transfer by car and biking across the gently rolling hills and very arid land that make up this central part of Myanmar. Overnight at the hotel in Meikhtila.Biking distance: 120 km
Day 10 Meikhtila – Kalaw by bike
This significant day of climbing starts with a gorgeous ride out of the flat valley and into the foothills. Through the early afternoon we follow a winding road along a river, finally entering Shan mountain ranges and the serious climb is the final 18 miles to Kalaw, a cool, quiet town that was formerly a British Hill Station. Overnight at the hotel in Kalaw. Biking distance: 100 km
Day 11 Kalaw – Inle Lake by bike
After breakfast at hotel, starting at Kalaw, elevation 4,300 feet, we have two long downhill runs on the ride to Inle Lake, elevation 2,500’. En route we pass Hebo where we will be taking our flight to Yangon. We will arrive at the lake late in the morning and board boats for an afternoon exploration of the Inle Lake which includes includes sights of unique leg rowers, fishermen using their typical own style of fishing, floating farms and gardens, handloom weaving cottage with its showroom, Phaungdawoo Pagoda which houses the most revered 5 Buddha Images in the southern Shan State and jumping cat Monastery, simply due to its trained jumping cats. Overnight either at the hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 12 Inle Lake
We will continue our excursion by motorized boat to Indein pagoda complex, in the south-west of the lake. The boat leaves the lake and enters a narrow canal with a beautiful natural environment to continue to a small Pa O tribe village. From the village, follow an old covered path to a 13th century monastery and the very impressive ruins of hundreds of ancient pagodas, some hidden in the vegetation. The main stupa-area on the top of the hill offers breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains and down to the valley and the lake in the far distance. Optionally you can bike back to the western shore of Inle Lake. Overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.Day 13 Inle – Heho – Yangon by flight
We are heading back down country today to return to the airport at Heho for our flight to Yangon. Our route takes us back to Heho and down the escarpment to Nyaung-Shwe for a busy local market. Check in at airport and fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.Day 14 Yangon
Today is reserved for exploring Yangon, shopping, and packing our bicycles. Visit the landmark of Myanmar/Yangon in the morning. A walk through “downtown” Yangon, a diverse mix of faded colonial architecture from the British times, and high-rises built by more recent investors; Sule Pagoda, built in the early 3rd century is a landmark in the city centre. Do your last minute souvenir shopping at Bogyoke Market and visit Karaweik, a royal barge for fantastic photo shot along the “pilgrims” causeway across the Royal Lake with stunning views of Schwedagon Pagoda. In the evening, transfer to airport for your return international flight.
